The things dreams are made of...

Okay well most of you know that I love Gothic Lolita clothing and well here is a shot of my small closet of my pretties. My collection used to be much larger but i've sold a lot has my style as changed and what not. I should be working on paper but I'm suck. So here I am.

hee hee thanks so much.
It is called hannari tofu.
They are a bunch of little random tofu guys. I have a green tea one and a takoyaki one as pillows at home. I can't get enough of them.

Glad to hear from you too.
For one of my classes I was going through all of my old online journals from back in 2001 so I thought I should try to reconnect with some of the people I have lost contact with. :)

I have not been up too much and a lot all at once since last we talked. It might be easier to make you read years of back journal entries, but I’ll see what I can do for a condensed version of the past four or so years.

I'm just about done with a BA in Culture, Literature, and the Arts from the UW I need 8 more credits which I'm finishing up this quarter. I am not really not sure where or what I am going to once I am done. I love to write and I would like to do that for a living but the chances for that are rather slim as I am sure you understand.

I have been to Japan twice more since last we talked both times with my Hobbit (my fiancée) and I hope to go again next summer.

I've really fell away from most friends I've had over the years and somehow replaced more acquaintances than I can count.

But really other then that I am not really sure what to say. I have been working two jobs while going to school full time to put myself through school. So I haven’t had that much free time.

what about yourself?

Since we last talked...hmmm. Got a job with a firm, moved to a new place, taught part time until 2007, wished I could be living in Hakodate...

I will read your back entries...

So-- tell me about life. Are you getting married? Where will you go after graduation? Any plans for Nihon this summer?

One day I will be getting married, but we are waiting until we are both done with school so we can keep getting aid to help us on our way.

We just found out that my hobbit was accepted to western Washington university masters in computer science program so we will be moving to Bellingham (basically we'd almost be in Canada) this fall. So, sadly no plans for Japan right now, but maybe in 2009 if we can save up again after moving to a new city (I’ve never done this actually so we’ll see how it goes).

So, right now life is up in the air.

I'm most likely going to get a job at some coffee joint at first once me move so I am not jobless -- its what I've mainly been doing to put myself through college anyway for the past three years. After that I'm not sure what type of job I’ll get but, hopefully something that pays okay so I don't have to work my ass off to pay the bills and still have time to write would be ideal.

But maybe the move is really for the better, I’ve been in such a rut in my writing because I’ve been living the poor college student life for far to long. I’ve never really been up to Bellingham much and always thought of it more as a place to pass through and not to live but it will only be for a few years anyway and then we will see where the wind blows us.

I am not on any one project right now. I’ve mainly been journal free writing lately as that is all I really have time to devote right now. I learned early on in my BA program that if I start a real project during a quarter my grades fall drastically, which well does not really work if I plan on getting into the grad school I want to in a few years.

I guess when I do get to work on projects I guess you could call it more genre fiction than anything else really.

You know, I don't really know myself.
I've only ever passed through it on my way to Canada.
I hear that it is pretty nice from other people at my college right now. But it kind of sucks setting up in a place you've never been. Also, I'm finally going to have to learn to drive before we head up there... and magicly find more money to deal with the whole car thing which up to now I have kept my hands out of.

Learning to drive isn't hard. Go ahead and learn on a stick shift. That'll be a skill you'll need later.

Other drivers are always scary. But it'll all come with practice.
