Sakura Con
Just about all of our friends were off at Sakura Con last weekend so Rusty and I made our way down to Seattle to join them on Saturday. Man, I didn't realize how much things have changed or how much I have changed since last I went and Sakura Con seemed to be integral to who I was five years ago.
I do enjoy going to Renaissance faires and Norwescon is pretty fun too but the crows of people that are drawn to Sakura Con really are not my type of folks anymore. They are like the people from “the room of stupid people” or “the sofa of stupid” by my work. I really do enjoy the people I have met through Alec's music and the renaissance crowd there is just a completely different feeling about them. Either way, it was good to see some of the old faces again (and not so good to see others).
I think what I am trying to get at is the feeling of truth.
People at sakura con feel fake to me.
